Episode #27 Tone of Voice, the Audience/Customer Hears More than You Might Think
Welcome to the show!
Today I’m talking about tone of voice, a topic I love. In the show today I’m going to introduce you to a concept about tone that you may never have thought about or realized existed. We have something called an undertone. When we speak we have the words and the tone but we also have an undertone that is connected to negative emotions.
When we speak, if there is a negative undertone or an agenda, our audience can hear it. Now, they may not put it into words like I am, but it creates a barrier between you and them. You can’t connect.
Today I’ll talk about:
What the undertone is,
Where it comes from and what causes it,
What you need to do to get rid of it,
Why it’s effecting the relationships you have with your customers and your audience,
How the undertone can keep you from greater success in business and life and MORE!

Episode #23 8 Techniques for Making a Bigger Impact w/ Your Voice Behind the Mic
Welcome to the show!
Today I’m doing a bit of a top 10 list, even though I’m only giving you 8 tips!
Video is so everything right now and with the overall movement of video, live streaming, online courses, podcasting and beyond, I thought I’d give a few tips that are especially key for those getting behind the mic.
Now, these tips are great for live speaking and conversation but are specifically geared to behind the mic in one form or another.
What I’ve found over the years is that people, even people who are okay presenting live, tend to stumble a little bit when they go live or get behind the mic or on camera. That’s normal because, well, what your doing is not the norm and there are some major pitfalls that you don’t have to deal with when you are speaking and talking live.
In this episode I’ll give you some tips for dealing with some of the most challenging…now, these are all voice tips. While being on camera is as second nature to me as real life, these tips don’t cover body and movement on camera. I’ll do a specific episode for on camera technique, but for now, start applying some of the voice strategies you learn today.
In this episode I’ll cover things like:
Bringing the words to life
Pausing
Pacing
Vocal Variety
Scripts and more.
In addition to talking about the central problem, I’ll give you some tips to fix these issues so you increase your following and your success and of course, your revenue.

Episode #21 Captivate the Customers by Bringing Your Words to Life w/ Your Voice
Welcome to the show!
In today’s episode I’m going to talk about bringing the words to life. Now, I’m going to talk a little bit about vocal variety but I’m really diving into what bringing the words to life really means and why it’s so important.
The words are everything and they are nothing…it’s how you bring them to life that counts!
Words are just words. Ask someone how they felt when they heard…they talk about feelings, impact, emotions, not, words.
The words are important, yes, your customer and audience needs to hear the words…but, by bringing them to life, you touch the audience/customers senses and in turn effect their emotions. THAT is captivating the room, that is connecting…that is getting the audience, buyer, whoever you are talking to, to follow you, get on your list, learn from you, become one of your super fans, buy from you or simply, have their lives changed. All of that takes place in the voice and that is what you are going to learn today!
