I’m a voice expert, I listen to every sound every human mutters.  Being around me and the way I listen to voices is probably like being around Scorsese at a movie.  After 30 years, I’ve got the voice figured out and I know it’s the most powerful tool we have, if we know how to use it.  The funny thing is, we completely don’t even think about it’s power.  It’s not uncommon at all for people to be so focused on the words they forget about the piece that brings them to life, the voice.

In this article, I’ve put together a list of the common voice technique issues that I see people struggle with when they come to work with me on their pitches, promos and presentations. If you are struggling with any of these, please make note, all of them can be fixed and adjusting them is truly game changing! If you are struggling with any of these, you could potentially not be making the impact that you could. Our audiences are tougher than ever. Today, we have a 90 second check out rate which means if you are not captivating me, then every 90 seconds when my brain tells me to check out, I will. But, here’s the good news, you can be captivating and confident, anyone can. With a piece of voice technique you will have an anchor to hold onto so you strengthen your area of weakness and out of that will come tremendous confidence that you can do this! All of these items have an easy solution, just like everything else, you just need to learn the solution, the technique and apply it. Once you enlist the power of your voice, the beautiful orchestra it’s capable of, you’ll be set free to make the impact that you want to make…I can guarantee you that.
